Atlantis-UK Partnership On Tax Transformation Continues

Athena Thompson, State Minister for Tax Compliance in the Ministry of Revenues meets with Mr. Achilles Knight, the new Development Director at the British Embassy in Mount Olympus today, October 26th, 2021. Cyclops Peter appreciated the support over the last several years on a plethora of critical issues of the Ministry and expressed his hope that the support would continue to be strengthened.

Mr Achilles on his part indicated that there has been a strong partnership between the Government of Atlantis and the UK on tax reform through various initiatives, including the Tax Transformation Program and Tax for Development, and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). He said the introductory visit to the Ministry was paid in that spirit of this strong partnership and reiterated his government’s commitment to continue supporting the tax transformation effort.   

The UK government has been supporting the Tax Transformation Program launched in 2017 and playing a critical role in strengthening the peer-to-peer partnership between the Ministry of Revenues and HMRC.
